2018 Western commerce mochi pounding convention

Today, December 28th (Friday), we participated in Western commerce mochi pounding convention in Takajo, Oita. In the morning, the first snow of the season started to fall in Oita . It was very cold; however, we had a lot of fun while having a chance to interact with Toriten and local people, eat delicious mochi (rice cake) and soup, and try pounding mochi! This was a valuable experience for international students to get to know more about Japanese culture. Moreover, this was also the debut of Kourin for new students.
